Spell List

So priests have a whole buttload of magic skills at their command, and here is every single one of them. (That Ashraf knows, anyway. There are more out there that he hasn't learned.) I've translated them all from game-mechanics into realistic-fiction mechanics. It should be noted that all spells marked as "temporary" usually last from a few seconds (Gloria) to a few minutes (Magnificat). None of them last longer than 5 minutes. All skills marked as harmful to enemies can also be used on allies BUT HEH WHY WOULD HE DO THAT, RIGHT?

Beneficial to Allies:
Heal
Refreshes and replenishes a character's energy and strength. Heals any fresh wounds, and will only heal the effects of diseases and illnesses, not cure them. Immediate effect.

Increase Agility
Temporarily increases a character's speed and reflexes. Almost immediate.

Blessing
Temporarily increases a character's strength and endurance. Immediate effect.

Kyrie Eleison
Creates a temporary invisible shield around one character. Takes a few seconds to cast.

Magnificat
Slowly rejuvenates all allies in the area. Effect lasts a few minutes, takes a few seconds to cast.

Angelus
Temporarily increases the hardiness and endurance of all allies in the area. Almost immediate.

Impositio Manus
Temporarily increase a character's skill with their weapon. Immediate effect.

Gloria
Temporarily increase a character's luck. Immediate effect, very short duration.

Suffragium
Decreases the cast time of one spell; cannot be used on himself. Immediate effect.

Status Recovery
Recovers any adverse effect (other than poisoning) a character may be suffering. Immediate effect.

Aspersio
Enchant a weapon with holy property, make it stronger and in particular do more harm to demons and undead. Immediate effect, and he has to have holy water on hand.

Resurrection
Resurrects the dead. Effective only on those who have died of physical or magic-inflicted damage. This will require a blue gemstone, of which Ashraf will have a limited supply.
 
Aqua Benedicto
Create holy water from any source of water, fresh, salty, or nasty-ass. Immediate.

Safety Wall
Create a glowing field of light that shields the attacker from all physical attacks, with the use of a blue gem. It shields ten times, in this case. An almost instant cast.

Sanctuary
Create a healing field of light, which will restore all living creatures within it and harm any undead. A moderate cast.

Assumptio
Casts a glowing aura around the target, which lasts longer than Kyrie Eleison. Damage cannot break it, but it only absorbs half the damage dealt. A slow cast.

Meditatio
Increases his rate of energy regeneration, as well as the strength of his healing.

Redemptio
He can sacrifice himself to revive all dead people in the area (dead by physical or magical damage, not death by sickness or age.) This takes a few seconds.

Harmful to Enemies:
Lex Aeterna
The next physical attack on the target/character will do twice the damage. Immediate effect.

Decrease Agility
Temporarily decreases a target/character's speed and reflexes. Almost immediate.

Lex Divina
Temporarily silences a target/character and blocks their magic and abilities. Immediate effect.

Holy Light
A (weak) holy magic attack, which works whether or not the target is undead/demon, but works especially well on those. Takes a few seconds to cast.

Turn Undead
Inflict damage on undead; a lucky shot will do immense damage and kill it. A fast cast time.

Magnus Exorcismus
Create a glowing field of light that exorcizes and does enormous damage to all undead and demons in the area, and requires a blue gem. A very slow cast time.

 
 

Misc:
Teleport
Returns Ashraf to what he considers his home, or to a randomized location in the area. Immediate.

Warp Portal
Opens a portal for himself and up to 20 other characters to a location of his choice. He has choice of only 4 predetermined locations at a time. Almost immediate.

Pneuma
              Blocks any physical long distance attack (arrows, bullets) for about 10 seconds. Immediate effect.

Ruwach
Reveal nearby hidden people with glowing blue lights, which do a small amount of damage upon detection. Immediate effect.
